The Loop Trail to Granite Park Chalet

The HighLine Trail to Granite Park Chalet

The Swiftcurrent Lookout Trail is a great view trail
made much easier for those staying at Granite Park Chalet.
The start of the Garden Wall Trail is just under a mile from Granite Park Chalet. The actual Garden Wall Trail is 6 tenths of a mile with over 900 feet of elevation gain. This short but steep trail that takes you to the top of the Garden Wall looking down on Grinnell Glacier and Salamander Glacier. Warning this trail can be very Windy. Parts of Salamander Glacier, in the early season, reaches up to the top of the Garden Wall.

Sperry Chalet

One of the hard lessons first time visitors to Glacier National Park learn is that reservations for lodging within the park boundaries fill up a year in advance. There is a very limited supply of rooms which accounts for the advance reservations filling up in the fall of the year before.
Reservations for the 2016 season will not be available until late October 2015.

I hiked to Sperry Glacier for the first time September of 2015 ~ I will be adding a page on that hike sometime this fall after I finish my hiking season for 2015. Triple Divide Pass is next up on my list of new hikes.
